Daivai.com is a website where you can read useful content and information, create new content, share information. Some pages are public, other pages are visible only to users who chose to register. Users who decide to create an account in order to use Daivai's services to their full extent automatically authorize Daivai srl to process their personal data as described below and as required by law (legislative decree of the 30th of June 2003, n. 196 “code regarding protection of personal data").
Daivai S.r.l. is a company based in Via Venezia 10, 50121 Firenze with VAT number and fiscal code 06448520483, registered in the list of companies in Firenze with the number FI-629265.
Daivai srl. processes two types of information:
- Information you give us (personal information)
A full use of the Daivai service requires you to create a Daivai account. We ask you for very little information, only what is indispensable to guarantee a relevant user experience.
If you subscribe as a normal user, we only require you to indicate 1)your personal email address (Daivai Srl may use it to send you notifications and/or e-mails, but it will not be disclosed to others, unless you explicitly authorize it), 2)the city where you live and 3)a username. Only the username you choose will be public and visible to others. If you want you can choose to add a personal photo and a short description of yourself, that may be visible to others too.
If you subscribe as an expert, in addition to the information we require from a normal user (see above) you must provide 4)your first and last name: a Daivai expert must be easily identifiable to everybody – it's one of the advantages of subscribing as an expert! In addition to indicating your own city you can chose to add more cities where you already work or are interested in working in the future. You may also chose to add a profile description that appears on your public Daivai page and is visible to potential clients or partners.
- Information we get from your use of our services (non-personally-identifiable information)
The Daivai service is based on the way you and all other users use the website: for instance we monitor how many times a solution story (one of the most important assets in Daivai) is viewed by users, or the number of users that become members of a user group, or the number of times an expert has been chosen by users in their solution stories. This information is visible to everybody directly on the website and is one of the features you may find most useful. We may also collect other information for internal use only, to understand the performance of the different functionalities, improve our services or to verify growth of subscribers, user preferences, etc. This data is normally used in aggregated form without any explicit reference to the single users involved. This information may include data that web browsers or web services like Google Analytics (a registered trademark of Google, Inc.) typically make available such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, time of each visit, page visited etc. or other information like your approximate location, your search queries, the time needed to execute a query, etc. Other useful data we may use to improve our services includes (in a given period) the number of times users come back to visit the website, the average time between visits, the average number of interactions between users etc. We may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs that may include internet protocol address or cookies (see below) that may uniquely identify your browser or your account in order to give you a more comfortable and friendly experience when using the platform.
Daivai may store some information (including personal information) locally on your device using browser web storage (e.g. specific HTML5 features).
It is important to consider that in no case the information asked or collected by Daivai is “Sensitive personal information”: we don't need and don't want to know, for instance, your race, ethnic origin, political opinion, religion, political / trade union memberships and we don't need and don't want to know about your health, sexual orientation, social security aspects, and so on.
If you contact Daivai, e.g. by sending an email, we may keep a record of this communication in order to handle any related issues or opportunities in the best possible way. In fact, Daivai may use your email address to inform you about services, functions and features of Daivai (for instance news on events, solutions, topics or user groups you follow). We may include this information in a personalized mail and/or a newsletter.
You must consider that Daivai may process your personal information on a server located outside the country where you live and may use third-party software/databases to manage your information, for instance to generate newsletters and mailing campaigns. Currently, your data is being stored:
- on Daivai’s servers hosted by OVH Srl via Leopoldo Cicognara, 7 – 20129 Milano (datacenters)
- on the servers of MailChimp, a newsletter/mailing web service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC d/b/a MailChimp, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 500, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
Some of the functionalities on daivai.com let you share information with others. For instance, if you use the available features to create and publish, your content will be visible to others in one or many pages (e.g. one of your published "solution stories" in the "Solution Stories" page or in the page dedicated to such story). You must consider that when you share information it may be indexable by internet search engines.
You can access and modify your personal information whenever you want.
Daivai will not share personal information unless:
- we get your consent to do so and/or you participate in one of our partner supported events (in this case we may share your email with these partners)
- for legal reasons we need to meet an applicable law, regulation, legal process or request, or apply our terms of service in order to investigate violations or security issues.
Daivai may share non-personally-identifiable information publicly or with third parties, using aggregated data and with the only purpose of showing or reusing the results from the service provided.
In case of sales of Daivai's assets, merger or acquisition Daivai will guarantee the confidentiality of the personal information and inform the involved users before the information is transferred to any different entity and be subject to different policies.
Daivai makes its best to guarantee information security and protection from unauthorized access or use of the data, by using encryption (SSL) and identity verification when users access their Daivai accounts. Access to personal information is restricted to internal employees or partners who have subscribed contractual confidentiality obligations with Daivai.
Daivai is an organization in continuous development and improvement, so this policy may change from time to time, and such changes will always be made available and updated using this web page. We'll keep an archive available with the previous versions of the policy.
If you have any questions about this policy please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
